On September 28th the Succession, Retention & Recruitment SWLM Subcommittee met (consisting of PEF Representatives and Representatives of NYSIF Administration).

This was a follow-up meeting to our August 10 meeting where we presented our proposal for a title reallocation for the Claims Services Representative 1 from SG-18 to SG-20. It was a positive and productive meeting.

We planned our strategy for moving forward on the G18 to 20 reallocation proposal. It was determined that instead of doing one series at a time that we would do Claims and PHS (Underwriting and Risk Control) (our NYSIF Specific Title Series) together at the same time as a package.

We also discussed options on how we may address other titles that are not NYSIF specific.

NYSIF Administration has stated that they would support our request for reallocations and will collaborate with us in putting together the proposal.

We have begun working on including Underwriting and Risk Control to the proposal and our next meeting of the subcommittee is currently scheduled for November 9, 2023. We plan to move as quickly as we can to have a final proposal to present to Civil Service the first quarter of 2024.
